MEET STEVE

Christopher, better known as “Scuba Steve,” is a tattoo artist whose journey into the world of ink is as unique as the name he’s become known for. Although his passion for art began at a very young age, life led him down a different path for many years as he focused on raising his family. It wasn’t until a pivotal moment following his divorce that Steve decided to reconnect with his true, authentic self and reignite his love for creating.

In 2018, Steve began an unorthodox apprenticeship, navigating much of the learning process on his own. His determination, relentless focus, and pure passion for the craft carried him through countless hours of sacrifice and hard work. By 2019, he was tattooing on his own; a milestone that marked the beginning of a career fueled by artistic freedom and purpose.

Steve’s style is a compelling mix of surrealism, dark fantasy, renaissance, neo-traditional, and pop culture influences. His talent not only shines in original creations but also in reworking and breathing new life into existing tattoos. He takes pride in being a safe space for his clients; valuing kindness, honesty, and approachability above all else.

A career highlight for Steve was earning his first tattoo award, a moment that validated his efforts and marked his growth as an artist. Today, he works in a quality studio surrounded by other talented creatives, an environment that continues to inspire and challenge him.

Outside the studio, Steve is a father, a reader, an avid swimmer, and a lover of good food; especially sushi, Greek cuisine, and a classic cheeseburger. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him creating art, listening to music, or making lasting memories. His favorite colors, black and green, reflect his bold yet grounded personality.

Steve believes it’s never too late to pursue your passion. His goals are simple yet profound: to keep progressing as an artist, to love and be loved, and to leave a meaningful mark on the world; one tattoo at a time.
